A Long Journey
Many of us on the team have worked for other companies as technicians, server administrators, or programmers. After hearing friends and family complain over and over about bad tech support they received, we each started looking to work in an environment that would allow us to help friends, family, and small business owners get a handle on their technology with as little stress as possible.
2001
Angelia Taylor founded Secure Computer Networks in 2001 as a weekend and evening technical support company with website hosting and design services available for small businesses. In 2004, she left her current position as a network administrator to serve her clients 24-7. Initially the website design and hosting sector took off like crazy. Due to this, Angelia reduced the amount of technical support provided. To properly support any business, you must have a team of people so someone is available 24-7 in case of an emergency.

2008 - Heavy push by clients to offer more tech support services
2012 - Acquired clients from Marnoble Computer Sales & Service
2013 - Additional technicians hired to handle expansion
2014 - Expanded support to Northeast Texas area
2008
After some great advances in remote support technology solutions, Secure Computer Networks was ready to begin a heavy push to support business and home uses with technical support needs. This required hiring at least one additional person. Joshua Wilganowski joined the SCN team to assist with on-site and remote technical support. With this added support, Angelia was able to spend more time focusing on application development, upgrading all web servers, and preparing hardware and software plans to fit the needs of most small businesses.
2012
Marnoble Computer Sales & Service of Houston Texas was ready to make a move out of the technical support business. Angelia Taylor and Chris Noble formed a friendship and struck a deal for Secure Computer Networks to take on clients from Marnoble Computer Sales & Service. This transition included the introduction of Secure Computer Networks to current contract clients and the option to continue services with SCN or elect to use a different provider. We are pleased to say a majority of clients elected to give the SCN team a try. During this transition period, we hired several extra technicans to assist with the initial extra support needs.
2013
Sean O'Brien joined our team as a remote support technician specializing in VPN configurations, security, and general tech support. Sean's background in computer forensics enables him to work methodically, quickly, and safely. Dennis Bailey joined our team for high-level server projects including exchange migrations and database server planning. This rounded our team out nicely to cover the Houston area and remote locations when necessary.
2014
With things running smoothly in the Greater Houston Area, we were beginning to see an increase in requests for help in the Northeast Texas area. We started offering remote support to this area in 2013, but found a need for a local technician at times. Dane Riddle was brought on to cover just such a need. He has a strong background in computer migrations and server administration and interacts well with clients. Over the last couple of years, Joshua made himself indispensable to Secure Computer Networks and our team of technicians, as well as all tech support clients. Joshua was promoted to become our Chief Technical Officer. Joshua is the primary client manager for all businesses in the greater Houston area.
