Why web-based applications? 
Web-based applications are usable from computers, laptops, tablets, and phones. This makes them the most versitile way to provide support services for your company/industry. All data may be retained for reporting purposes. Transactional data (change tracking) may be added to any portion of the application that is desired. In short...web-based applications are highly flexible.  

Why PHP? 
PHP is OpenSource and runs on Microsoft and Non-Microsoft servers allowing us greater flexibility for selecting a server platform and allows us to reduce costs by selecting Unix-based operation systems for most of our servers. PHP also works well when integrated with other coding platforms (javascript, perl, cgi, etc.). Another part of the flexibility of using PHP for a web-based application is that they may pull in data from many other sources as well as export it to other data sources. This is why we choose to program using PHP for a majority of our work.

We also use JavaScript and other software to create robust web applications with APIs that will be easy for others to consume.  This makes your project something that can be used by more people in more ways!
